Day 1 - London to Hanoi – Overnight Flight

Your adventure begins with an overnight flight from London to Hanoi, the charming capital of Vietnam.

Day 2 – Welcome to Vietnam

Welcome to the incredible Vietnam! Upon arriving at Hanoi International Airport, you 'll navigate through immigration, collect your luggage, and head straight to our hotel in Hanoi for check-in.

You'll have some time to rest before our afternoon tour. Vietnam's cities are renowned for their vibrant chaos, vivid colours, and the bustling traffc – an unforgettable experience awaits you.

Our adventure begins with a walking tour through the old quarter of the city. Following this, we'll enjoy a leisurely rickshaw ride around Hoan Kiem Lake, including a stop at the nearby Ngoc Son Temple.

This evening, we'll have dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3 - Explore the Wonders of Hanoi

Start your day with a hearty breakfast. Your adventure begins with a visit to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university, dating back to 1070. Choose between exploring Dong Xuan Market, the Old Quarter’s largest market, or the historically significant Hoa Lo Prison, known as the "Hanoi Hilton." Engage with locals at a traditional house, learning about their life and history. In the afternoon, visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (outside visit), his personal residence, and the One Pillar Pagoda. Enjoy a cyclo ride around Hoan Kiem Lake and end your day with a mesmerizing water puppet show. Don’t miss out on tasting Hanoi’s speciality – Egg Coffee at a local café.

Day 4 - Scenic Journey From Hanoi to Halong Bay

After breakfast, embark on a 3 ½ hour drive to the stunning Halong Bay. Check-in and board a Junk boat. Enjoy lunch while cruising through the bay’s 1600 islands and islets. Spend your afternoon either relaxing on board, swimming (weather permitting), or participating in activities. Dinner is served on board.

Day 5 - Halong – Hanoi – Hue (By Flight)

Begin your day with breakfast on board amidst the fresh morning air of the bay. After disembarking at 11 am, drive back to Hanoi airport. If time allows, visit Tho Ha or Phu Lang village. Arrive at Noi Bai airport in the late afternoon for your flight to Hue. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.

Day 6 - Delve into Hue's Heritage

Post-breakfast, take a boat trip up the Huong River to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda, an iconic seven-story pagoda. Explore the Imperial Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Despite wartime damage, the site is under careful restoration. Later, stroll around Dong Ba Market. In the afternoon, visit Emperor Tu Duc's Mausoleum, built following mystical geomancy laws.

Day 7 - From Hue to Hoi An via Danang

After breakfast, travel to Danang via the scenic Hai Van Pass. Visit the Cham Museum in Danang before heading to the charming old town of Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy a walking tour of Hoi An’s old town, visiting Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, the Japanese wooden bridge (outside visit), and other historical sites. End the day with a lantern-making class, learning about Hoi An’s rich cultural heritage.

Day 8 - Explore My Son and Relax in Hoi An

Take a half-day trip to the My Son sanctuary, the religious centre of the former Champa Kingdom. Return to Hoi An for a relaxing afternoon, soaking in the town’s charm at your own pace.

Day 9 - Saigon Awaits - Hoi An – Danang to Ho Chi Minh City (By Flight)

After breakfast, transfer to Danang Airport for a morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Check into your hotel and explore the city, visiting the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral (outside visit), Central Post Office, Opera House, and the Catinat building. Conclude your day at the War Remnants Museum.

Day 10 - Discover the Mekong Delta

After breakfast, drive to My Tho in the Mekong Delta. Enjoy a boat cruise on the Mekong River, visiting Long Lan, Qui, and Phung Islands. Visit a fish farm and a traditional local house. Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon.

Day 11 - Farewell Vietnam - Departure Ho Chi Minh City to London

Spend your final day at leisure in Ho Chi Minh City before your overnight flight to London, concluding your enriching solo adventure through Vietnam.

Arrive in London with wonderful memories of your solo adventure through Vietnam, and say goodbye to newfound friends you met along the journey.
